Can you assist with children and adults with a disability? Read more Yes, we have participants of all ages at Diligent Care and are prepared for however young or old the participant may be.
Do all your staff have police checks? Yes, all our staff have police checks and those working with people under 18 have a Working with Children’s Check. Also, all our staff have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You'.
What if i have support staff employed by another agency that I want to keep using? That is completely alright if there are other support coordinators, agencies or service providers involved.
How long does it take for services to start? We are happy to start services whenever the participant and family pleases
Can you help me with my pets? Yes, your pets are important, and we can help you with what you do for or with your pet/s. In fact, we have a dog called Daisy at one of our homes that the participants have grown incredibly fond of and created a therapeutic and meaningful relationship with.
Can you help with medication? Yes, we are fully equipped to handle medication safely and routinely if needed. Our staff have experience with regular medication handling for our participants who take medication for anxiety, epilepsy, etc. We keep thorough documentation on everyone's medication schedules.
What types of disabilities can you support? We can support any disability the participant may have including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Severe Intellectual Disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Epilepsy, Constipation, Sleep Pattern Difficulties, Brain Damage, Paralysis, Birth Defects, etc.
Can you help me get to doctor appointments or other places? Yes, we regularly assist our participants in going to doctor or dentist appointments, work, the airport for holidays, friends or relative houses, etc. Don’t hesitate to let us know where you would like to go.
How much do services cost? If you have NDIS funding it will cover the cost of our services. Prices vary according to the type of service and time/day of week. Further exact information on our prices may be discussed via email or over the phone so you may make an informed decision on your own time.
How do your staff prevent COVID19 infection and spread? All staff have completed the COVID-19 Infection and Control Training and have all received three vaccine immunisations. We are prepped and informed on how to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.
Can you help with holidays and day trips? Yes, we regularly assist our participants in going to doctor or dentist appointments, work, the airport for holidays, friends or relative houses, etc. Don’t hesitate to let us know where you would like to go.
Can you help during the weekend or after hours? Yes, all our staff are available and prepared for both weekend and overnight shifts where the participant and family wishes. Our boss and some of our management staff are available for direct communication 24/7 via phone or email.
